Racing at Kenilworth

Our tour is especially designed to coincide with the J & B Met, South Africa's biggest race - a truly grand occasion with an electric atmosphere. The Ascot of the Cape! This is without doubt the premier Racing/Social event on the South African racing calendar. The racecourse at Kenilworth offers competitive calibre racing with excellent viewing. We have reserved a Private Box where full hospitality will be provided. The suite is fully equipped with TV monitors and betting facilities are close to hand. This is included in the tour price.

Kenilworth

In 2009 Pocket Power, South Africa's Horse of the Year 2007, scored his third consecutive victory in the J & B Met, beating Dancer's Daughter by a neck in a thrilling f nish. His full sister River Jetez finished in third place. Pocket Power, who started favourite for the race, is trained by Mike Bass in Cape Town and was ridden by Bernard Fayd'Herbe.
