We are delighted to be able to offer you this unique tour to Cape Town that combines racing at Kenilworth for South Africa's famous J & B Met Handicap with the opportunity to join a week of festivities hosted by the renowned Klawervlei Stud Farm.  Klawervlei Stud is home to fourteen of South Africa's top class stallions and is situated in the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings of Stellenbosh; a town best known for its vineyards.   As a result of our longstanding contacts in racing, we are extremely proud that Klawervlei Stud has invited us to be their guests at their much sought after and socially exclusive week-long activities prior to South Africa's premier race.

These activities include an exclusive Sunday lunch on the Klawervlei Stud Farm followed, on the Monday, by the Klawervlei Stud annual golf day at the De Zalze Golf Estate in Stellenbosch. This most enjoyable day is optional but all players are treated to lockers fully stocked with golf accessories. Refreshments and golf buggies are provided and a three course buffet dinner concludes this magical day out. 

On Wednesday evening, the day before the sales commence, a pre-sale cocktail party is held and, on Thursday and Friday evenings, we are invited by Klawervlei Stud to join them to attend the Cape Yearling Sales. This high class event is held in Cape Town's International Convention Centre. It is unique in being the only major sale to be held in the heart of a large city and offers some of the country's best bred and most exciting future prospects. We have reserved tables in the sales arena, offering an à la carte dinner and wines, on both evenings.  On Saturday we will be guests of Klawervlei Stud at Kenilworth Racetrack.

Cape Town lies in an incomparable setting between the Atlantic Ocean and the majestic backdrop of Table Mountain. Cape Town is the second-most populous city in South Africa and its legislative capital where the National Parliament is located.  This city, and its surrounding countryside, has everything to offer the visitor; a ride in the cable-car to the top of Table Mountain, the Cape Dutch architecture, the wine lands, the spectacular views from Cape Point plus many other delights.

J & B Met at Kenilworth

Saturday sees the running of Cape Town's biggest and best loved race, the J & B Met. This race is the most popular in South Africa and has become a major social event and Kenilworth Racecourse is always packed to capacity.  We will have the pleasure to join other Klawervlei guests in the well-appointed private Kenilworth Room. A superb buffet lunch will be on offer and there will be a complimentary bar service.
