Join the entire racing fraternity and travel to Deauville with Horse Racing Abroad for a memorable weekend.  Deauville, a favourite holiday destination for Parisians, has beautiful golden beaches, designer boutiques, gourmet dining and, of course, casinos.  But this town has much more to offer - visitors can experience the thrill of Polo or a leisurely round of golf and early risers may catch sight of morning exercise on the beach as the horses enjoy their annual vacation! 

Our visit to Deauville coincides with the famous Yearling Sales, which commence on Friday 13th August and finish on Monday 16th August.  This is the ideal opportunity for owners, breeders, trainers and enthusiasts alike to savour the unique atmosphere of the Sales.

Deauville hosts top quality racing and during this weekend the feature race is the Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois.  In 2009, this race was won in commanding fashion by the outstanding filly Goldikova ahead of Aglaam and Virtual.  Goldikova, trained by Freddie Head and partnered by her usual jockey Olivier Peslier, went to Santa Anita a few months later to win her second consecutive Breeders' Cup Mile and to be hailed as one of the greatest fillies in recent years.
