20 - 23 May 2010
Tour Highlights
- A fully guided tour of Coolmore Stud.
- Racing at the Curragh for two Group 1 races, the Irish 1000 & 2000 Guineas
Coolmore Stud:
Our annual pilgrimage to Coolmore
has become one of the highlights of the racing
calendar. Each year brings renewed
anticipation as we look forward to our visit to
see this fantastic breeding operation.
May is perhaps the best time of year to
view the stallions. Clients will
be able to recognise many past
stars of the game who have
found new careers as stallions standing for
Coolmore. Seeing these magnificent
creatures in the flesh often evokes
fond memories of their racing
careers. Perhaps more exciting still
is the thought of the future offspring
these stallions will sire.
For the second year running,
our 2009 tour to Coolmore culminated
in an invitation to continue onto
Ballydoyle, the training facility of
Aiden O'Brien. Please understand that
we cannot guarantee that a
similar invitation will be extended to us in
2010.
CURRENT STALLIONS AT COOLMORE ARE:
Ad Valorem, Aussie Rules, Choisir,
Danehill Dancer, Duke of Marmalade,
Dylan Thomas, Excellent Art, Footstepsinthesand, Galileo,
High Chaparral, Holy Roman Emperor, Hurricane Run, Ivan
Denisovich, Mastercraftsman, Montjeu, Oratorio, Peintre
Celebre, Powerscourt, Rock Of Gibraltar, Strategic Prince and
Yeats.
The Irish Guineas:
In 2009 the Aiden O'Brien trained Mastercraftsman took the 2000 Guineas. It proved to be a memorable weekend for Johnny Murtagh as he also partnered Again, saddled by David Wachman, to win the 1000 Guineas.
