Constantly striving to enhance our product and to discover new, exciting and varied destinations for our discerning patrons, I am pleased to present our 2008/09 tours. We have once again produced our entire year’s programme in one brochure for our clients’ ease.
In 2008 The Breeders’ Cup returns to Santa Anita in California and, due to our long association with Santa Anita racetrack, we are proud to be able to offer you Club House seats and, unique to Horse Racing Abroad, the “Seabiscuit” private dining facility. The Melbourne Cup incorporates Sydney, with the opportunity to extend your stay in Hong Kong.
If you would like to attend both these prestigious events, we are pleased to be able to offer a Round the World tour to include The Breeders’ Cup and The Melbourne Cup with the option to extend your tour in Hong Kong.
Our programme also includes some old favourites that have been brought back by popular demand! Enjoy a long weekend in Paris combined with a day at beautiful Chantilly to watch The French Derby.We are off to Munich for a mid-summer break and then, in October, once again to
Prague to view the Velka Pardubicka Steeplechase. We will be returning to Monte Carlo in February to soak up a little early spring sunshine and enjoy the racing at Cagnes sur Mer. A weekend break to Pau and The Punchestown Festival are also featured.
For those of you with a keen interest in the bloodstock industry, there are two exciting tours to famous studs. In April 2009, we are delighted to be returning to Lexington for our Bluegrass Tour. This tour gives you the chance to visit a number of renowned Studs in Lexington, Kentucky together with racing at Keeneland. We will also be running our Normandy Studs coach tour in May 2009. This superb trip gives you the chance to visit a number of well-known Studs near Deauville combined with racing in Paris for the French Guineas meeting. The weekend concludes with a tour of Chantilly, the “Newmarket” of France.
Following the success of our tour to India in 2005 we have decided to revisit India’s Golden Triangle in January 2009. The Dubai World Cup, which has become an increasingly popular event, combines fantastic racing in the colourful city of Dubai with a luxurious beach holiday. The Deauville Festival remains a firm favourite and, once again, we have chartered our own aircraft to take full advantage of our time there.
Finally, the highlight of the European racing calendar, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, remains our biggest event of the year. In 2008 the Arc is being sponsored by Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club and, for the first time ever, the weekend will include four International races for pure Arabian horses to complement the two days of top class Thoroughbred racing. We offer a variety of hotels in Paris over the Arc weekend. Come and join us and appreciate the unique facilities that only Horse Racing abroad can offer at Longchamp for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
